Privacy notice

Last updated: 11 September 2026

This notice explains what personal data Foras handles, why we handle it, and what you can ask us to do about it.

Who we are

Foras One Ltd (“Foras”) provides construction project-controls software and is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice. This notice explains how we handle personal data collected through this website and through the Foras application. For any privacy question, contact us at privacy@foras.one.

Personal data we collect

Enquiry and demo data: your name, work email address, company, and anything you choose to tell us when you contact us or book a demo.

Account data: for users of the Foras application, the name, work email address and role needed to give you access and to attribute actions you take in the product.

Usage and technical data: basic information such as pages requested, browser type and approximate location derived from IP address, used to keep the service secure and working.

Project data: cost, site and Finance information entered or imported by our customers. This is generally commercial rather than personal data, though it may include names of individuals recorded against site activity.

Why we use it and our lawful basis

To respond to enquiries and arrange demos, on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.

To provide, secure and support the Foras application, on the basis of the contract with the customer organisation.

To meet legal and accounting obligations, on the basis of legal obligation.

Where we send marketing email, we do so on the basis of consent or a soft opt-in, and every message includes an unsubscribe option.

Controller and processor roles

For website enquiries and our own marketing, Foras is the data controller.

For personal data inside a customer's project data in the Foras application, the customer organisation is the controller and Foras acts as processor, handling that data on their documented instructions.

Sharing and service providers

We use a small number of service providers to run the business, including cloud hosting, email, scheduling and analytics providers. They process data on our behalf under contract.

We do not sell personal data. We may disclose data where required by law or to protect our legal rights.

Where data is transferred outside the UK or European Economic Area, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

Retention

Enquiry data is kept for as long as the enquiry is live and for a reasonable period afterwards. Account and project data is kept for the term of the customer agreement and deleted or returned afterwards in line with that agreement. We keep records longer only where the law requires it.

Your rights

You have the right to access your personal data, to have inaccurate data corrected, to request erasure, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability where it applies. You can also withdraw consent to marketing at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, contact privacy@foras.one. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office.

Cookies

This website uses cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for it to function, and may use limited analytics to understand which pages are useful. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings.

We may update this notice as the product and the business change. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised.
